Support scholarship applicants

Our goal is to create impact, and support those who share in this vision. If you have benefitted from opportunities including scholarships, grants or resources not within the reach of many, we are looking to work with you to support and inspire ambitious young people across the continent.

This platform can benefit from your support in several ways:

      1. Share your personal story and inspire and drive many to take action;
      2. Join/lead one of our upcoming webinars on scholarships or careers;
      3. Mentor or advice a small group of applicants on scholarship and/or career opportunities;
      4. Donate to our great initiative or
      5. Put IGSI on the map by sharing the great work we do!

We have recently launched a virtual mentorship program where volunteer mentors mentor interested individuals on a range of aspects relative to scholarships, career and personal development.  Please sign up here if you would like to volunteer as a mentor on our platform. Donate

IGSI is a non-profit initiative that aims to enable thousands, especially young people, overcome the barriers in their journey to harness study opportunities. Most of our our team volunteer their time and resources to support international students achieve their goals and contribute to realizing development objectives.

This platform mainly relies on donations to fund our activities and especially to sustain our newly launched grants and scholarships. Please consider supporting our mission or partnering with us to realize these goals.

Help us remain independent and free with as little as $1. Donors can specify their cause for support and are entitled to our bi-annual financial reports. Every penny creates an impact and brings someone closer to achieving their dream.

We are currently at advanced stages of launching a new funding scheme to support bright, young and promising individuals who are keen to create an impact in their countries by leveraging on funded postgraduate study opportunities. These will take the form of either a full-time or distance learning Masters scholarship, or funding to complete a short course (at least 6 months).

Key info/eligibility criteria

      • National of a sub-Saharan African country
      • Academic potential and demonstration of need for funding
      • Typically under 27 years of age
      • Applicant must be undertaking first postgraduate degree
      • Study to be undertaken at a reputable University in Africa or preferably at a European institution of higher learning
      • Passion to go beyond Masters degree i.e. undertake a PhD

 Our doors are open to partner with more individuals and organizations who share in this vision.

Part of our efforts is now geared toward supporting corporate organisations, institutions and several philanthropists in administration of educational sponsorships through recruitment of bright candidates for scholarship opportunities (and management of the portfolio of scholarship funds).  Please contact us if you would like to hear more on partnering with us in these upcoming developments.
