Candidates from low- and middle-income countries who have completed an academic degree (240ECTS/4 years) with far above average results (upper third) and at least two years of related professional experience after the first degree (Bachelor) at the time of application are eligible for a DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) scholarship. His/her academic degrees should normally be no more than six years old. Scholarship holders begin their study by attending the Core Course at Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin. The call for the 4th cohort for a Master Programme in Embedded and Mobile Systems is now open. The programme with strong regional industry links equips students with in-demand skills and competences in a dynamic field. Graduates with a Bachelor`s degree or equivalent in the STEM field can now apply until November 15. Courses will commence in January 2022. What is the EMoS Master Programme? CENIT@EA offers a 2-year Master in Embedded and Mobile Systems that is geared towards the needs of the private and public sector in East Africa. The Master includes elements such as an internship, an applied Master thesis, Summer Schools, guest lecturers from the private and public sector, as well as Entrepreneurial and Soft Skills training. This enables the students to develop and marketize digital solutions, that are crucial for the transformation of industries and the development of the region. The EMoS programme is structured in academic modules which includes distinctive and integrative courses with high educational and practical content that address the local and regional development needs and challenges. The programme includes a variety of courses and it focus on four major topics, which are highly relevant for current industrial issues: Mobile Computing, Embedded Systems, Soft Skills and Basic Skills. We are currently advertising full-time DOMESTIC (MQRES) and full-time INTERNATIONAL (iMQRES) Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarships. All four scholarships cover a bundled 2nd year Master of Research plus PhD program. However, students can start directly into a PhD program if they meet specific selection requirements. The candidature period is either three years for the PhD program or four years for a bundled Master of Research plus PhD program. Students will receive a generous stipend of $50,045 per annum (2021 rate, tax exempt). This consists of a base stipend of $28,597 p.a. and a top-up stipend of $21,448 p.a. Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), is a state-owned university located in Surakarta/Solo, Indonesia. We are one of the leading universities in Indonesia and aim to become an internationally-acknowledged centre for the development of science, technology, and art based on noble values of national culture. We have 11 faculties, one vocational school, and one graduate school. We welcome international student candidates who want to pursue a bachelor, master, or doctoral degree. Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) invites prospective international students to study in UNS through self-funding and UNS Scholarship scheme. UNS Scholarship provides a tuition fee waiver for new international students seeking a bachelor, master, and doctor degree. However, UNS Scholarship is not available for study programs in the Faculty of Medicine or Medical Sciences. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR UNS SCHOLARSHIP Applicants must: Be non-Indonesian citizens (those who hold Indonesian citizenships are not eligible) Show a strong interest in seeking a full-time degree program at UNS Be willing and able to attend an interview over a video call Be at maximum of 25 years old when applying (only for bachelor degree) Complete all the required documents COVERAGE OF UNS SCHOLARSHIP We understand that it’s not always easy to study abroad with certain resource limit. We are working to provide our international students with the best assistance. At the moment, UNS Scholarship covers: Tuition fee waiver Student dormitory for 6 months Indonesian language course (6 levels) Students are thoroughly responsible for all other fees and expenses such as airfare, visas and immigration fees, accommodation, meal, transportation, daily living cost, health insurance, and other personal expenses. The scholarship is given in the form of fee waiver, meaning that students will not receive cash from UNS. RESPONSIBILITY OF UNS SCHOLARSHIP AWARDEE All awardees of UNS Scholarship must: comply with Indonesian laws and regulations, university’s regulations, and other associated regulations attend all lectures and academic activities held by university, study program, and faculty achieve minimum GPA 2,00 in every semester finish their study on time TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF UNS SCHOLARSHIP UNS Scholarship is granted with the following terms and conditions: The scholarship is given for 8 semesters for bachelor program, 4 semesters for master program, and 6 semesters for doctoral program. Awardee has to pay the tuition fee if they cannot finish their study after the scholarship has reached the duration. The scholarship can be terminated if awardee cannot maintain minimum GPA or violates the regulation of university and Indonesian law. Transfer to other study program or faculty is not allowed. Awardee who resigns from UNS have to pay back the tuition fee waiver that has been granted. DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR UNS SCHOLARSHIP The following documents are required: Recent formal photograph Colour scan of valid passport having at least 18 months of validity (cover page & identity page) Certificate of graduation from the latest education institution (in English or Indonesian language) Academic transcripts from the latest education institution (in English or Indonesian language) Medical statement (in English or Indonesian language) Curriculum Vitae Financial statement Personal statement Certificate of Indonesian language proficiency (optional but strongly preferred) Certificate of English language proficiency (obligatory for master and doctoral degree) Letter of recommendation #1, from a lecturer/professor or work supervisor (only for master and doctor degree) Letter of recommendation #2, from a lecturer/professor or work supervisor (only for master and doctoral degree) Preliminary research proposal to be developed into a dissertation (only for doctoral degree) All documents must be uploaded via online application form. Document template or samples can be downloaded at http://bit.ly/admissionDocUNS PROCEDURE OF APPLYING FOR UNS SCHOLARSHIP Student candidates are required to follow the procedure below: Prospective students learn and look for the study program that fits their interest. List of available faculty and study program can be checked at https://uns.ac.id/en/uns-faculty/ Student candidates prepare the required documents. Student candidates submit an online application by filling out an online form. Student candidates submit all the required documents at the “Upload Document” section on the online application. Student candidates print a registration card after submitting the required documents. Administrative selection will be conducted by the admission committee. Interview selection will be conducted for student candidates who pass the administrative selection. Successful candidates will be notified by email, along with the Letter of Acceptance. Student candidates send confirmation to study at UNS. Admitted students complete online registration as student at UNS academic website. Admitted students come to UNS upon receiving notification from UNS International Office. Students can apply for the scholarship provided by the Agenzia Regionale Diritto allo Studio Universitario – DSU is the agency for the University Study Right of the Tuscany Regional Council (Regione Toscana). A DSU grant includes free accommodation free meals at the University dining halls contribution to cover extra expenses (sporting activities, books, etc.) exemption from University tuition fees. Who can apply Students planning to enroll or already enrolled in a Degree program at the University of Pisa, if they do not already have a qualification of the same level of education. Application and required documents Online application only, via Sportello Studente, by the call’s deadline (usually published every year in July). The application can be submitted even if the student is not enrolled yet. The grant is valid for only one academic year. Therefore, students have to repeat the application each academic year. Foreign students (with income abroad) who wish to access the services offered by the DSU (Scholarship, Services Scholarship, Grant for Disabled Students, Extraordinary Contribution, Subsidised Canteen Prices, etc.) are requested to apply online, print the receipt available in their personal area and send it following the instructions provided by the admission call, attaching a document certifying the family economic status together with a copy of a valid identity document. For further info in English, once you open this webpage, please click on Announcement scholarship on the right column under the heading Bando a.a. 2021-2022. - EU students Students from EU countries have to fill in a specific declaration, which can be downloaded at the end of the online application procedure. - Non-EU students from developing countries Students coming from Non-EU developing countries have to certify that they do not belong to a high income and high-status family. This certificate must be released by one of the following institutions: Italian diplomatic representatives in the home country; Diplomatic representative body (Embassy or Consulate) of the country of origin in Italy. Please remember that the certificate has to be legalised by the Italian Prefettura. - Other Non-EU students Students are required to submit all documents, translated into Italian language and legalized by the competent Italian diplomatic representatives of the home country, or according to the international provisions on legalization related to: family status; income; real estate; movable assets Application submission The annual call for applications for DSU scholarships is published in the month of July on the DSU Toscana website. For a.y. 2021/2022 the deadline for the DSU Scholarship application is 3rd September 2021. For the first year of application, the ranking only considers the annual family income. For subsequent years, the list also takes into account academic merit. Result and final ranking The DSU draws up a single ranking list including both foreign and Italian students. Provisional ranking lists are usually confirmed every year by the end of September. Final rankings are usually approved every year by the end of November. The results of grants allocation will be published at www.dsu.toscana.it and will be available on the students' personal area. No personal written communication shall be provided to applicants concerning results. Incompatibility DSU grant holders can also benefit from other merit-based grants allocated by the University of Pisa only in the first academic year, provided that the benefit amount does not exceed € 6,000.
