The Dutch Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) aims to contribute to sustainable and inclusive development by offering access to education and training to professionals and organisations. OKP Scholarships will be available for IHE Delft's new Master of Science in Water and Sustainable Development. Mid-career professionals who are nationals of - and living and working in - one of the following countries are eligible to apply for OKP individual scholarships: Bangladesh, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Colombia, Congo (DRC), Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guatemala, Guinea, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Liberia, Mali, Mozambique, Myanmar, Niger, Nigeria, Palestinian Territories, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Suriname, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Vietnam, Yemen and Zambia. Scholarships will be available for the MSc programme in Water and Sustainable Development, and for the MSc programme in Limnology and Wetland Management that IHE Delft is offering jointly with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Austria and Egerton University in Kenya. Both programmes start in 2022. Applicants who wish to apply for the OKP scholarship are recommended to apply to IHE Delft for academic admission soon – by 15 March 2022 at the latest - and to begin preparing OKP scholarship applications. Well-prepared applications are more likely to be selected for a scholarship. The OKP is a Dutch global development programme managed by Nuffic, a Dutch non-profit organization that promotes internationalisation in education.

Rotary Scholarships for Water and Sanitation Professionals

Through this partnership, a limited number of scholarships are awarded annually for graduate students at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education’s campus in the Netherlands. These scholarships are designed to promote long-term productive relationships between Rotarians and highly skilled water and sanitation professionals in their communities. Since the inception of the partnership in 2012, some 145 scholarships have been awarded. The application process is as follows: Rotarians interview and select from local candidates who have already been admitted the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education’s 12-month Master of Science degree program in Water and Sustainable Development, in one of the following thematic tracks: Water and Health Water Resources and Ecosystem Health When the candidate is deemed suitable, the sponsoring Rotary Club submits (together with the candidate) a fully completed application form to the joint Rotary/IHE Delft selection committee. When a Rotary scholarship has been awarded, the sponsoring Rotary Clubs maintains contact with the scholar throughout his or her studies. After completion of the program, the scholar and sponsoring Rotarians partner on a water-related activity in the scholar’s home country. Rotarians in the Netherlands involve the scholars in local cultural and Rotary-related events during their academic program. The financing of the successful candidates will be managed through Rotary’s Global Grant process. Sustainable Leader Master of Science in Public Health Scholarship

Sustainability Leader Scholarship Master of Science in Public Health at the University of Limerick. Introduction As part of the School of Medicine social accountability and its mission towards a sustainable world, we are providing a sustainability scholarship for emerging leaders from low and middle income countries to come to Ireland to study in our Master of Science in Public Health at the University of Limerick. Now, more than ever, we have a historic opportunity to make transformational changes in higher education to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) by graduating agents of change who have the potential and commitment to make positive societal changes in their countries. Eligibility A scholarship candidate should be both a national and a resident of one of the low and middle income countries (link) at the time of the application. This scholarship is only relevant to candidates who apply and receive an offer from the UL MSc in Public Health full-time programme. Evaluation Criteria Professional background: Priority will be given to candidates who are employed in academic institutions, research institutes, governments, the social economy or non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and to students targeting a career in one of these sectors. Candidates employed in the private sector or newly graduated candidates without previous work experience may also be considered if they have contributed to the advancement of their society through advocacy, volunteer work or other relevant activities. Motivation: Priority will be given to emerging leaders who have the potential and commitment to become agents of change after completing the master programme, and who can demonstrate a greater chance of implementing and/or transferring newly gained competencies upon completion in a sustainable development context, such as in the higher education sector, government, and civil society, thereby contributing to positive societal change. Intellectual excellence: Priority will be given to candidates who can demonstrate evidence of leadership, research experience, and strong academic performance. Commitment to achieving the SDGs within own country: Priority will be given to candidates who have a support letter from an institute confirming (re)integration in a professional context in their countries with a clear plan of action to achieving SDGs within their own country following successful enrollment and completion of the master programme. Hatfield Lioness Scholarship for Female Students from Developing Countries

Background The aim of the Hatfield Lioness Scholarship is to enable a female student from a developing country where access to tertiary education is limited to benefit from undertaking postgraduate study at the Durham University. The scholarship was launched as part of the celebration of 30 years of women students at Hatfield College, Durham University in 2018, and is funded by alumni, friends of the College and other sources supportive of the scholarship’s aims. Hatfield College aims to award the Lioness Scholarship to an individual who has the academic and personal qualities to enable them to complete and benefit from a postgraduate course, and who will also act as a positive ambassador for their home country in Durham, and put their enhanced knowledge and skills gained from the master’s programme and experience in Durham to good use for the benefit of their society when they return home. This scholarship is a means to attract and support outstanding female candidates to pursue careers in fields where there is a gender imbalance. Scholarship Award: The Women in Finance and Technology Master Scholarship will cover full tuition fees for up to two years, if the student maintains the academic progression requirements for scholarship recipients. In 2022 the Swedish Institute will grant about 350 scholarships for master’s degree studies in Sweden. The programme is funded by the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. It offers you a unique opportunity to develop both professionally and academically, experience Swedish society and culture, and build a long-lasting relationship with Sweden and other scholarship holders. Who are we looking for? We are looking for ambitious professionals who want to make a difference by working with issues that contribute to a just and sustainable development in their home country and region. Applicants should also have a clear idea of how the study programme in Sweden would benefit their home country or region. The scholarship period cannot be changed or extended beyond the awarded scholarship period, nor can it be transferred to a study programme other than the awarded master’s programme. What you get as a scholarship recipient Full tuition fee coverage. The fee is paid directly by SI to your Swedish university in the beginning of each semester. A monthly payment of SEK 10,000 to cover your living expenses throughout the study period. Insurance against illness and accident. Membership of the SI Network for Future Global Leaders (NFGL) – a platform to help you grow professionally and build a network while in Sweden. After your scholarship period has ended, you become a member of the SI Alumni Network. As a member, you get a unique opportunity for continued networking and professional development.
